Outline

Overview

The outline is your tool for sorting ideas, plot points, or notes into a hierarchical structure.

Outline Elements

The outline has three hierarchical elements:

  • I: The highest level element for your broadest idea or segment.
  • II: The mid-level element - of which there can be multiple within a single "I" element, yet can still represent broader ideas.
  • III: Your most specific elements, often containing the most text or detail.

The insert menu is accessed by clicking on the "+" button which appears between other outline elements.

It allows you to insert either a I, II, or III element in the specified location.

Expand and Collapse

Outline elements can be expanded or collapsed based upon what you deem is necessary for viewing. This becomes helpful when the outline has grown large and you only want to view specific parts.
